Anne Stevenson, PhD
 

Anne Stevenson, PhD, MSc, is the Director of Partnerships at the Dr. Chester M. Pierce Division of Global Psychiatry. She has more than 15 years of experience working in mental health programming and research.

For over eight years, Dr. Stevenson worked for Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health overseeing a study on the genetics of schizophrenia and bipolar disorder, which recruited 43,000 people in Ethiopia, Kenya, South Africa, and Uganda. Prior to that, she was the inaugural program director at the Division of Global Psychiatry supporting mental health collaborations and studies primarily in Africa.

She previously lived in Rwanda leading mental health and HIV studies for Harvard and lived in Ghana supporting HIV programming at the UN Refugee Agency.

Dr. Stevenson received her PhD from Stellenbosch University in South Africa and her master’s from London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine/London School of Economics in the UK.
