MGH Global Psychiatry

Director

In Sierra Leone, we are strengthening clinical capacity for psychiatric and neurological care at the oldest psychiatric hospital in sub-Saharan Africa.  We have worked with partners in Sierra Leone to establish the country’s first psychiatry residency program.

What is global psychiatry? Global psychiatry is an area of research and practice aimed at improving mental health in low-resource settings.  This can include high-income countries like the United States.
