Dr. Kristina Korte<\/h5>\n

Kristina J. Korte, Ph.D. is an Assistant Professor at Harvard Medical School, a licensed clinical psychologist at Massachusetts General Hospital, and Director of Research in the Chester M. Pierce Division of Global Psychiatry.

Dr. Korte\u2019s research focuses on the dissemination and implementation of evidence-based treatments for anxiety disorders and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs). She is particularly interested in transdiagnostic and integrative cognitive behavioral approaches designed to address commonly co-occurring mental health conditions. Her work also examines task-sharing with non-specialist providers and mobile health (mHealth) interventions to expand access to evidence-based care.<\/p>\n

Dr. Korte has received federal and foundation funding and has been recognized with multiple awards for her contributions to anxiety disorders, PTSD, and global mental health. She is the recipient of the Alies Muskin Career Development Leadership Award from the Anxiety and Depression Association of America (ADAA) and a Fulbright U.S. Scholar Award for her research in South Africa. Her research is currently supported by an NIH Fogarty International Center International Research Scientist Development K01 Award, which evaluates the implementation of a brief transdiagnostic treatment for PTSD and anxiety disorders in South African primary care clinics. She also leads a Broad Institute of Harvard and MIT Biology of Trauma\u2013funded study evaluating the implementation of STAIR Coach, a smartphone application to treat PTSD, in Kenya and other low-resource settings, including underserved communities in the United States.

Dr. Korte is actively engaged in global mental health capacity building and regularly provides training and implementation workshops across Sub-Saharan Africa, including Ethiopia, Kenya, Rwanda, South Africa, and Uganda.<\/p>\n<\/div>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
