Title: Christie Wu Joins the Division of Global Psychiatry
Please join us in welcoming Christie Yunyao Wu as the new clinical research coordinator of the Chester M. Pierce, MD Division of Global Psychiatry. Christie started her new role in early August. Going forward, she will be involved primarily with the Division’s work on substance abuse treatment and HIV care in South Africa, Somaliland, and the Global Psychiatric Clinical Training Program (T32).
Prior to joining us, Christie worked at the MGH Center for Addiction Medicine and the Lab of Adult Development as a research assistant. Her research interests include substance abuse treatments in different cultural contexts and the interplay of substance use and comorbid psychiatric disorders. In the future, she hopes to pursue a PhD in clinical psychology and conduct research on substance abuse treatment in her home country, China.
Christie received her B.S. in Clinical Psychology from Tufts University in May, 2016.
