Title: Video: Dr. Chemali trains Lebanese field workers in stress reduction
Dr. Zeina Chemali, the Global Division’s Director for Neuropsychiatric Outreach, has now trained 120 Lebanese field workers who are caring for Syrian refugees in the Stress Management and Resiliency Training program (SMART).
Far from the typical "band-aid" approach of most humanitarian aid, this training, which was created at MGH's Benson-Henry Institute, gives recipients a chance of building the resiliency skills they need to manage extremely difficult circumstances. Doing so provides the workers and the refugees resiliency skills to cope with this relentless humanitarian crisis.
