Title: Dr. Hermione Lokko wins Project Impact Researcher Award
Dr. Hermione Lokko won the Project Impact Researcher Award at the National Medical Association conference in Detroit earlier this week. Dr. Lokko presented on her research at Massachusetts General Hospital regarding medical residents' attitudes and opportunities for mentorship during their residency. One of the results from the study found that over 50% of the mentorship relationships were initiated by the mentees themselves and that these individual efforts could be augmented by formal mentorship programs during residency training.
Dr. Lokko is currently a fourth year psychiatry resident and has been collaborating with the Division of Global Psychiatry since she started at MGH.
